Where does the time go? I can’t believe it’s been so long since I made a post. Well the reason being, that over the last 2 or 3 months I have struggled with writing, performing and music in general. Every musician knows what I am talking about, and I had to dig deep, but I’ve managed to come out the other side of the tunnel much stronger, and prepared. [MORE]

Johnny and Aonghus have all their parts down for all the tracks, and I’ve finished alot of my guitars and the guide vocals are all down, so now myself and Gavin are able to move on to the fun parts of recording – sounds and guitars. [MORE]

So its a week or so into the new album, and the new tracks are taking shape really nicely. It’s a lovely progression from the last release, ‘Hide & Seek’ in 2007. I’ve been planning this one for a long time and its lovely to finally get home, get into the studio and get the stuff down. As most of you know, I’ve been writing for a year solid, trying new things, and new songs in Sydney. I’ve written well over 50 tracks in the last year, but like anything, there’s “good” ones and there’s not so “good” ones! [MORE]

I’m really looking forward to many things over the next few weeks. I’m hitting a landmark in my short life, recording my album (that I’ve been waiting to do for over 2 years – but finally saved the money, and wrote the final part of it!), and am also rolling out the biggest online music charity in Irish history – Music Box for Life. Between all of this I have managed to fit in writing and demoing of more songs, and now have over 50 songs that I’d be happy to see on any album. It’s true what they say – “Once you Pop, you can’t stop!”. [MORE]

I’m calling out to all your guys, and looking for your own personal reviews of the last EP ‘Hide & Seek’ for inclusion on minuscircus.com and also my myspace.com/minuscircus page. So many bands and musicians purely focus on the reviews from the National Press, the radio DJ’s etc, and don’t get me wrong, they are all really important, but I would like to include some of your quotes before I lay the EP to rest and start to purely focus on the lead in to the pending album – which is still ‘Untitled’. Whelans show booked for November
